Metric to SAE Cable Lengths

Most HDMI cables, (as well as CAT5, CAT5e, S/PDIF, UTP and other cables used for audio / video applications), are sold in metric lengths, (e.g.- 1m, 2m, 5m, 100m, etc).

We have prepared the chart below to assist you in determining the correct metric length to order when you only know the SAE, (Standard American Equivilent), length.

*NOTE: SAE lengths have been rounded down to insure the cable you order is at least as long as the listed SAE length.

Calculating Length of Other A/V Cables

If the length you need is not shown in the chart above, the following formulas can be used to convert between feet and meters.

FEET TO METERS: multiply feet by 0.3048 to get length in meters

METERS TO FEET: multiply meters by 3.2808399 to get length in feet
