Education Spaces Should Have Audio-Visual Solutions

Modern Audio-Visual Solutions for Education

Modern Education Spaces Require AV Solutions

There is no denial that technology is the product of human education and research across generations. The question has always been, how do we recycle this technology and utilize it in the education process? Twenty years ago, most educational institutes shifted from chalk boards to dry erase boards and marker white boards. This was a substantial improvement in the teachers’ experience, cleaner hands, and less dusty boards.

A decade passed when institutes started adopting technology in the classroom systems as many educational entities opted to upgrade their classroom “educational tools and equipment”, by replacing the now outdated white boards to Interactive White Boards and touch panels. It was something futuristic and super exciting, until it wasn’t. Unreliable results and required technical knowledge were a daily struggle to instructors.

Despite that, research indicates that teachers have also experienced the benefits of use of technology in the classroom. 81% of teachers have listed at least one of the following top three benefits, all of which are highly student-centric: improved student engagement; individualized instruction; and flexible access to instructional content. This shows that technology in education has made classes and lectures more enjoyable and engaging for students, which increases their motivation towards learning.

But how can we make it more enjoyable to be used by the instructors? It’s always been the same complaints in every perspective: complicated systems, fiddly connections, un-friendly interfaces, time consuming troubleshooting for equipment, and the likes.

While teachers remained hesitant and skeptical about embedding integrated AV technologies into their classrooms, the global pandemic in March 2020 forced schools and teachers globally to dip their toes into digital waters. Now, as schools and educational entities have returned to the classrooms, manufactures are challenged to provide smooth solutions to take that next step from remote classrooms to smart and hybrid ones, bearing in mind that the instructors are not supposed to be tech savvy.

BYOD Flexibility with WyreStorm

WyreStorm has worked tirelessly to make educational solutions as easy and straightforward as possible, blending the best of technology with the best of classroom experience.  The increased demand for remote as well as hybrid classroom models requires AV equipment to be solid and simple to operate and maintain in a full AV installation ecosystem.

To increase instructor engagement associated with such a virtual and hybrid class space, proper audio and video equipment is needed to maximize efficiency for the instructor and attendees alike. WyreStorm’s Apollo solutions are specifically tailored for hybrid corporate and education spaces, build on ease of use and reliability. The solutions can be implemented for smooth and clear classes, important synergy between teachers and learners, and relief from unreliable technology otherwise used.

Combined with WyreStorm’s Synergy, back-end AV switching and cabling, the classrooms have turned from an audiovisual experimental center, to an easy to use bring your own device learning space. Collaboration and information sharing were the core design concept behind those solutions.

The world is moving fast, and the curve that students are tech savvy is steeper than that of the curve of their instructors. To keep up with education of the 21st century, WyreStorm believes that AV technology should both eliminate complexities and drive effective solutions. WyreStorm education solutions aid teachers and students with the tools they need for a successful school day, in line with the education of tomorrow.
