4K HDR HDMI Splitter from WyreStorm for Digital Signage, Education, Retail, and Hospitality
WyreStorm Technologies releases the SP-0108-SCL a newly upgraded HDMI splitter to replace the successful SP-618. The new 1:8 4K HDR HDMI Splitter is a smarter, smaller, and more powerful unit with Scaling Outputs, Audio Breakout, EDID Management & CEC. The new 0108 will also include a downloadable PC software, which gives the user added tools for troubleshooting, such as testing API commands and uploading their own EDID files. This software offers the user full flexibility and eliminates the need for a control system to control a simple product.
Each of the 8 HDMI outputs of the SP-0108-SCL has a 4K to 1080p down-scaling capability, allowing for mixed resolution displays to be used simultaneously without suffering from compatibility limitations. Featuring both an analog and digital S/PDIF, easily de-embed HDMI input audio to a secondary audio distribution system without the need for external adapters or converters. These analog and digital S/PDIF audio de-embed allow easy connection for external amplifiers or DSPs.
The SP-0108-SCL HDMI splitter, smaller and more compact form factor than its predecessor, offers plenty of flexible features that can be used in various applications, from digital signage, education, to retail and hospitality. Ideal for retail electronics showrooms to distribute the same HD content over 8 simultaneous display outputs for comparison, the splitter supports full 18Gbps 4K60 4:4:4 video content compatible with the latest HDR video standards including HDR10, HDR10+ Dolby Vision and HLG. Distribute the highest possible quality video over the 8 outputs along with multichannel audio support and compatibility up to DTS-X and Dolby Atmos. The small and compact design allows the splitter to be mounted locally and discreetly beside the source.
In line with WyreStorm’s vision towards a more environmentally sustainable product lineup, the new splitter uses 12V 1A DC power, utilizing a fraction of its predecessor’s power consumption, and releasing less heat. It ships with mounting Brackets for 19” rack mounting option.
