4K 8×8 HDBaseT™ Matrix with Receivers

An established leader in AV matrix solutions, WyreStorm introduces an 8×8 form factor as a convenient kit for the first time. Offering transmission of HDMI content up to 4K UHD & HDR content to 35m/115ft, pairing HDBaseT with WyreStorm’s powerful crosspoint HDMI switching chipset. The EXP-MX-0808-KIT has 6 HDBaseT zone outputs with PoH and 2 switched HDMI outputs which can be paired with WyreStorm’s HAOC hybrid optical HDMI cables or any extender for transmission via HDBaseT or OM3 fiber. The EXP-MX-0808-KIT doesn’t stop there, offering zone audio breakout via S/PDIF, CEC triggering for all connected screens and the A/V mute function enhances the offering for the modern home or commercial installation.
4K UHD AND HDR SUPPORT
Small in price yet big on specification, this 8×8 kit can handle current video content up to 4K/60 4:2:0 covering a majority of current source devices, even supporting 10-bit HDR content at up to 30Hz and multi-channel audio. Powerful HDBaseT technology sends this, IR control and PoH for the included recievers up to 35m/115ft.
DE-EMBEDDED AUDIO
With audio functionality to match its video capability, the 8×8 kit has the ability to extract audio signals from the output, following the zone. Having S/PDIF connectivity means having the flexibility to send multi-channel 5.1 audio to local AVR’s or downmix to stereo using the EXP-CON-DAC-D.
CEC TRIGGERING
Working automatically on signal presence or triggered via the API, this 8×8 kit can send power trigger commands to all compatible connected screens or projectors meaning an integrated autonomous control solution.
A/V MUTE FUNCTION
Certain applications in the residential, education and commercial markets don’t always require a source to be routed through to an output. The 8×8 kit makes it possible to “mute” the video output as well as the audio, meaning that the HDMI signals to the zones can be independently switched off via the API

- Compatible with DVI-I and DP++ v1.3 signals from compatible devices (up to 9Gbps or 4K/30)
- 8 assignable Toslink outputs allow audio to be independently de-embedded from outputs or inputs
- Automatic (signal sensing) or manual (API operated) CEC power triggering of all connected screens or projectors (CEC compatibility required)
- A/V Mute function gives complete distribution control to a user allowing the signal to any zone to be independently switched off
- SmartEDID feature also dynamically detects display/source capabilities and automatically outputs the highest possible resolution
- Additional EDID management through DIP switches for global setting or via WebUI for independent management of EDID per source
- Embedded WyreStorm WebUI enables simple source switching and installer set-up & configuration
- WebUI includes full EDID management to copy EDID from connected devices
- Independent user control interface with separate password-protected installer settings
- Personalise switching interface with source and output labelling
- Hide unused I/O for cleaner appearance and navigation
